It's not like I didn't already know that, but somehow it really struck deep in the heart and hurt profoundly. Sometimes I find platitudes deeply annoying. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"--yes, I do believe it, but like you said, it doesn't mean you have to like it. You were strong enough already, Jean, and I'd do just about anything to make it so you didn't have to keep proving it on such a frequent basis! Love you, dear lady!!! May the surgery go beautifully, and your recovery be smooth and quicker than expected.
